Oto notka dla wydawców zagranicznych:
For Foreign Publishers:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I’m a Polish epileptologist, a Secretary of the Board of Polish League Against Epilepsy. I am also the author of a fairy tale therapeutic book “About a Monkey Who Fell of a Tree”, which is a lighthearted but also educational story addressed to children with epilepsy and their parents. The story told in the book familiarizes children with this chronic disease, answers many questions parents often ask and helps doctors in establishing contact with children and their guardians. Coco the monkey is taking care of his younger brother Rudy who is having trouble at school – he falls asleep during the lessons and after waking up, doesn’t know what is happening around him. When one day Rudy falls from the tree while going to school, Coco goes with his brother to seek medical attention. It turns out that Rudi has epilepsy. The book offers a simple and engaging way of explaining the disease to children and preparing them for anti-epileptic treatments. The exciting story of Rudy’s journey to the doctor through the savanna will intrigue children aged 4 to 9. I am pleased to report that the book in the form of i-book is available in English, from ITunes for the price of $ 3.99. If you want to find out more about this project, or are interested in releasing the book in a hard copy edition, please contact us.
Yours sincerely, Ałbena Grabowska-Grzyb, M.D
